HOW IT WORKS

We are here to help you get back some of your well deserved “ME time”.

Step 1 - Set Up Your Space

Grab a mat, find a quiet space and turn up the lights!

Place your computer, tablet or smartphone far enough from you so your instructor can see your body.

Don’t worry, we will guide you through this at the beginning of the session!

Step 2 - Set Up Your Tech

We use Zoom video conferencing for our live sessions. You will receive a link to your call via email from us.

If you are joining for the first time, you can download the plugin (if on a computer) or the app (if on a phone or tablet) before the call. Alternatively, you can join the session via a link on your internet browser.

Step 3 - Set Up Your Body

Make sure to have your doctor’s clearance before taking your session and be prepared to let your teacher know of any physical issues you might be experiencing.

Wear something comfortable (a lighter shade of clothing (at least top) is preferable and makes it easier for us to see your alignment) and we will help you do the rest!

Regarding Pilates and The Nourished Body

What Is Pilates?

Pilates is a movement/exercise approach to better help align, strengthen and stretch your body. The movements are used to train the body how to move more efficiently while gaining access to your deeper musculature to support the body from the inside to out. I use the Pilates method as a re-education of the way you do everyday actions. This is particularly effective if you are in chronic pain, are pre-post-natal or dealing with a post/pre-operative situation.

How Does It Work Online?

After booking your consultation session, we decide what the next appointment should look like. All you need is a computer/ smartphone/ tablet/ desktop, a fast WIFI connection and enough space for a Pilates or Yoga Mat. It’s just like having a video chat with someone!

Do I Need Any Special Workout Equipment?

No. All you need is yourself. I can guide you through a comprehensive session with just that. Sometimes, depending on your needs I may ask that you have something ready, purchase a small item (like a TheraBand) or use what you have available to diversify or create a better alignment scenario.

Can I Do This With An Injury?

Yes. We have an intake session first to discuss your history and needs. You may need clearance from a doctor, but we talk about you first before any movement happens to make sure this is an appropriate approach. My speciality is in rehabilitation, so I am well informed of injury and contraindications.

Do You Provide Extra Support?

Of course! I am available by email and you have access to your sessions ALWAYS! You can revisit your recorded session anytime for specific cues for YOUR body only. And, if you purchase a package you get free access to my online mat classes and exclusive content I develop throughout the year.
